Acts 12:1-25

This chapter becomes pivotal as we see less of Peter, while Paul becomes the dominant apostle throughout the rest of the book. Persecution is prevalent as James, brother of John is killed. Although Peter is arrested with the same fate in mind, he escapes prison by the aid of an angel. An angel also kills Herod at the end of chapter. We also discussed the ongoing theme of the church multiplying (V 24) and how in the early church there were miracles, visions, healings, and numerous appearances of angels.
