On Offense

A lot of people come to Christ and then spend their life trying to ride the fence between the world and the Kingdom of God. That is a horrible place to be. Knowing where you should be and not being there. The fact is that those who do this eventually fall off the fence and land on the world’s side.
One of the main reasons people try to ride the fence is because they want to fit in. It is even a trend in the church to “be as good as the world.” What is that about? I don’t think we should endeavor to do things poorly, but we will never out-entertain the world. We have something the world can’t offer, the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. We need to get back to really, really believing that.
The point is that as Christians we should be different. Those around us should be uncomfortable in their sin. We should be as light in darkness. Our hope is in him.
