#14 Sovereign Over the Hearts of Men

The way sovereignty is taught today is a real faith killer. The belief that God controls everything that happens to us is one of the devil's biggest inroads into our lives. If this belief is true, then our actions are irrelevant. Instead of learning to trust and to lean on Christ, people are being taught to trust in themselves. This is why we need to understand God's sovereignty. The doctrine of God's Sovereignty encourages us and enables us to faith and obedience. It gives the security and confidence that God will be true to his Word to the infinite degree. There is something in this text very difficult for the carnal or immature mind to understand.
