1. Narratives call out to pick out the story within the larger story (Verse 3-9 vs. Verses 1-11).

2. Here, the larger story is the whole book of Mark.

3. Remember, all stories have characters and a plot; this plot turn at verse 6.

4. With all this in mind, let's review the story (Verse 1-11).

5. You remember Judas as the reprobate betrayer (Verse 10).

6. In this story of good and evil, Jesus Himself draws the great contrast to evil (Verse 9).
