The Blame Game

James makes it crystal clear; the temptation to sin because of the trial may be Satan’s desire, but it is not God’s design. It comes from our own flesh, our own desires become enflamed and we are led away into sin, and it can become a stronghold in your life. God wants to help you mature your way out of it, to defeat temptation, endure the trials, and be stable, single minded, steadfast, to develop holiness in you. And holiness is not freedom from temptation, but power to overcome temptation. But too often we aren’t letting God do His work in us through the trials, and we want to blame God for our desire to sin.
