Is it right for a Christian to go to court against the government?

This week on the Straight Truth Podcast, a listener asks if it is right for a Christian to go to court? 1 Corinthian 6:1-8 seems to say that Christians ought not to go court to work out their grievances. The listener writes and asks specifically about John MacArthur (MacArthur) and Grace Community Church (GCC), going to court and suing L.A. County. They want to know if this sort of thing conflicts with the directions given by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:1-8. Or does it not apply because the grievance is not against another believer?
