"Give us this day" speaks of God's grace and mercy. It means we find sufficiency in Him. As our Father it is His desire and delight to provide for us. And as He provides for us we must also be available for Him to provide for others through us. See also Matthew 6:25 - 34, Luke 12: 15-21 and Proverbs 30:7-9
