Paul from Rome to....

With Acts 28:16-31, Luke ends his Account of the Acts of Jesus Christ through His Spirit through His Apostles. We see the mission and message given in Acts 1:1-11 carried out until this ending account of Paul as a prisoner in Rome. The Hope of Israel and the Kingdom of God is being preached at the end of Acts, just as it was commissioned at the beginning of Acts. And the curtain closing on the book of Acts with the unfinished business and unanswered questions of Paul is significant and appropriate--because the book of Acts is not about Paul, but about Christ, the Kingdom of Christ, the Gospel of Christ, the Church of Christ...until He comes. And though Paul be in chains, the Gospel and the Church of Christ are not bound!
