Descent and Refining

Last week, the brothers took their father’s spoiled favorite and sold him to a caravan of slave traders. Then there’s a whole long chapter devoted to Judah (kind of a “meanwhile-back-at-the-ranch” scene) and THEN we pick up in today’s chapter (39) right where we left off. If we look at the whole story, we get a vision of what God does to us…I mean what is His purpose for us?…What goal is He working toward in our lives…in the here-and-now?
