Jacob's Mistake; and Our Mistake

This sermon centres on v 36 .. all these things are against me.

There is so much that can be said to be against us eg government and media.

Jacob thought so many things were against him but God was actually moving things for Jacob's good - he just could not see it.

We can use testimonies to help guide us eg Jacob, Naomi, Job and Prodical Son.

Measure God not by His providences but by His promises.
