Occupy Till I Come

The disciples were confused. They thought Jesus was going to set up an earthly kingdom. Men remain confused with the same thoughts. The Parable of the Pounds is designed to dispel that notion. Jesus came to earth from heaven to receive His kingdom. What is that? The church. He will come again. Men of grace think He and His message of sovereign grace to be harsh. Thus, they soften it. Jesus said for them judgment awaits.
