No Circumstances, Gives Us The Right to Mistreat or Misuse

Our circumstances, no matter how good or bad they may be, NEVER give us the RIGHT or PRIVILEGE or PEACE to mistreat or be mean to others. Age, wealth, heartache, power, misery, authority, sickness to name a few... are all circumstantial and do not give us the right to be ugly to other people. If a master can train an instinctive dog, to follow his voice commands, no matter the setting the dog is placed in, can God transform us to overcome the things we're passing through?

Conformers to this world are squeezed and shaped by their circumstances. Transformers are being transformed by God and His truth. He redeems, refreshes and renews the way they think, as they pass through their circumstances. His presence, and purpose and priorities are the difference between a conformer and a transformer (Romans 12:1-2).

Circumstances should never GOVERN or MANIPULATE or DICTATE the life of a disciple of Jesus. Though it should NEVER happen, it's unavoidable in our fallen world. And though it's inescapable, it's NEVER okay... when it happens. NO trouble or triumph affords anyone the right to be ugly for ugly's sake.

The real key to helping people: is not the common bond you have with others, going through similar circumstances as you, but the common comfort you received while going through your unique situation. And this common comfort is not a feeling or an emotion but a REVELATION. A revelation of the presence and purpose and priorities of God that transforms and eternally effects your thinking and emotions and feelings and trust and hope and love and ways of living.
