The Divine Appointment

The focus of Hebrews 1 is on Christ as man. He is declared to be the heir of all things. Here is a plan only God could design. He will bring about His purpose to restore and renew all things stolen by the Devil's craft and deception.

With a plan, mysterious in its unfolding, God sent His own Son to regain all that was lost in Adam's disobedience.

Thus, Jesus is the successor in the way God intended for Adam. While on earth, though technically the owner, Jesus was counted a servant. As a servant, Jesus suffered even to death. But God glorified Him in the resurrection and ascension.

Humiliation is both unexpected and brilliant. Now we, believers, are to follow this plan as Jesus kingdom spreads to all corners of the earth.
