Victim or Victor? The power of a gospel-centered life
Series 2 Timothy
112 ( 83 | 29 )
How we see ourselves often shapes the way we face adversity. Many Christians live perpetually under their circumstances, always struggling as victims of life’s hardships and disappointments. The gospel gives us a better way – the way of identity in Christ. “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 1:1, NKJV). In this sermon, we’ll begin a study of 2 Timothy, the Apostle Paul’s last words before he was martyred. Despite his unjust imprisonment, Paul saw himself as an honored ambassador of Jesus, a privileged recipient -- and steward -- of the life he’d been given in Christ. Join us as we consider, “Victim or victor? The power of a gospel-centered life.”
