The Sword of The Spirit

1. Being able to wield the sword is being able to use the truth of the scripture at any given point.

I. The bible is inerrant and infallible, without error and everything that it affirms is true. Psalm 19:7/John 10:35/Revelation 22:18-19/Proverbs 30"5-6/Psalm 12:6/Psalm 119:140.

1. Since it is infallible and inerrant, therefore it is complete, sufficient and effective. The complete authoritative word of God; we don't need anything else. Psalm 19/2 Tim 3:16/2 Peter 1:20-21./A formidable weapon.
   II.What does it accomplish? Powerful, The word of God does not return void.
2. Only source of truth. Brings people to the knowledge of the truth. John 17:17
3. Source of True joy/blessing/happiness/Proverbs 8:34/Luke 11:28
4. Source of Spiritual Growth/1 Peter 2:2
5. Source to the power of God/Romans 1:16/Hebrews 4:12
6. Source of Guidance/Psalm 119:105/Romans 15:4
7. Source of Spiritual victory/2 Tim 2:15/2 Cor 10:3
   III. What kind of weapon?
8. Offensive - displaces error
9. Defensive - used against the thrusts of satan. Know the truth;know the bible. Romans 10:17
   IV. Be diligent/Search/Grow
10. Read/Study the bible/Be hungry for the bible/Acts 17/1 Cor 2/James 1:21/Titus 2

V. Put the whole armor - be effective in using the word of God./Heb 3/Eph 4:15
