The Promise of the Father

Author and theologian Dr. John Whitcomb begins the radio phase of this new media outreach with a series from the early chapters of the book of Acts entitled, appropriately, “The Beginning of Something New.” In this first message from the series, we consider specifically the role that God the Father had at the dawning of the church age.
After a brief introduction to the book of Acts, our teacher explains how the apostles had a great work to do – under the superintendence of their heavenly Father – in the city of Jerusalem.
Following the teaching portion of the broadcast, Dr. Whitcomb will answer an insightful question from host Wayne Shepherd, further probing the Father’s role in the “amazing book of Acts.”
Our speaker calls Luke’s second inspired book an “incomparably important history,” asking, “What would we do without this book?”
