Seeking After a Sign
Series Judges
39
We are to walk by faith, not by signs and senses.
- What God had already given.
- The difference between Gideon and us.
- The significance of the fleece and the dew.
Application: 1. None are so strong that they can live independantly of God. 2. Those who seek for signs today are acting contrary to God who has already authenticated the giving of his Word and Son by signs and miracles. 3. Consolation for believers - Gideon doubted God's ability to help, yet God proved himself sovereign and gracious. 4. Expectaion for blessing upon the Jewish people - the dew of heaven.
