Understanding Ourselves: Doctrine of Man

[note: we apologize for the poor audio quality] We were created in the image of God, to reflect His glory and be complete in Him. But by our sin, we choose to distance ourselves from God. Our minds are darkened so that we cannot know Him; our hearts are twisted so that we love empty things and not Him; our wills are hardened so that we rebel against Him. We deserve separation from God forever, because that is what we have chosen. But by the rescue of Christ we have new life, new position, new mind, new passions, new power to obey, new possibility to be like Christ and show off God's glory.
