The Glory of the New Covenant

When preaching at Corinth, Paul had deliberately avoided making a show of his intellectual prowess, as he wanted them to see that the power of his message came from God alone. The Corinthians admired eloquence and oratory, but Paul's had said "…I came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom…" He compares the Old and New Covenants, demonstrating the far greater glory of the New Covenant, as a 'ministry of the Spirit'. Let us share Paul's confidence in the power and glory of the New Covenant as we proclaim the Gospel.
