Jesus sent His disciples into the world

Jesus prays for His Elect and not for the world. God definitely elected select sinners, and He definitely calls them. God's elect were reconciled to Him at the cross where the sins of the elect were charged to Christ and His righteousness was imputed to them. Salvation is justification by the imputation of righteousness. As Christ is, so are the elect in this world. Only the truly chosen are justified and sanctified, there is no other path to salvation. First the Father sent the Son into the world to be His representative. The Son sent His disciples into the world to be His representatives. The work of the ambassador of Christ is to declare this message - the one message of the Gospel - to the world.
