Yield To God's Word Or Be Broken By His Hand

Consider how great is the folly of thus hardening yourself against God. So surely as there is a God, so surely he will prevail. His designs and ends shall take effect: 'tis in vain [to harden yourself, for] none ever hardened himself against [the power of Jehovah]. Why should a poor worm of the dust enter into and obstinately maintain a contest with [God], as though he had hope that his strength would prevail [and he] could make his part good? How foolish is this obstinacy! Consider what will be the issue of it. It is an omnipotent being that you are so stiffly and obstinately opposing, and you must find what omnipotence is.
