Where God Gives HIs Peace, The World Cannot Take It Away

113

Isn't it odd how loud this fallen world is crying out for peace, and yet they cannot find it no matter where they look? It's odder still that, in the midst of this pandemic of global anarchy, the born again, bible believing child of God is literally surrounded by peace? This brings us to one of the great and mighty promises of God found nestled deep into the book of Job.

"When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only: That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared." Job 34:29,30 (KJB)

For the last 2,000 years, bible believing Christians have had tremendous persecution, trials, struggles and tribulation with a small "t", just as our apostle Paul said we would have. The apostles all experienced it, and in fact were put to death for their faith in God. As the storms swirled around them, however, we find something very odd. They were not afraid, they had perfect peace in the midst of a highly imperfect situation, and they went Home to glory with a mighty testimony on their lips. We see this through the Roman persecutions where Christians were burned at the stake for not worshipping Mary or bowing to the "eucharist". Where God gives His peace, there is nothing this world can do to take it away, and where God will not give peace, there is nothing this world can do to obtain it. Today I want to remind you of God's perfect peace that He gives to His blood-bought children.
