Abuse and the Holiness of God

Please read the following message from the pastor:

This sermon deals with sexual abuse. Since this is a very sensitive and difficult subject matter, I wanted to say a couple things before you listen to this sermon:

1. To those of you who have been the victims of sexual abuse or who have been affected by this in a very personal way, I recognize how very difficult it may be to hear messages like this, and even more so if you are caught off guard or unprepared. I wanted to let you know ahead of time that I will be speaking on this and my hope is that as I do, you will be reminded of God's grace and love and hope especially in the face of the wickedness you have had to endure.

2. To those of you who are parents of young children, I realize these are sensitive things and in many ways we want to shield our children from such wicked realities. However, we have seen again and again the damage done when we don't address these things. I am mindful of the young ears in the pews and I am going to do my best to speak carefully and discreetly.
