Salvation Clinched

Dear Brothers and Sisters In Christ,

The gift of salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is entirely from beginning to end the loving sovereign work of our great God. In John 10:22-30 the Lord Jesus Christ defends His deity against the religious leaders who are seeking to undermine His claim to be God.

In defending His deity the Lord Jesus Christ makes one of the great statements in Scripture of the keeping power of God. The Lord who has chosen us in Christ, who has gone to the great lengths to save us from sin through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ will keep us into eternity no matter what we face in this life.

Our salvation is clinched through the sovereign perfect salvation secured for us through the Lord Jesus Christ. The assurance that no one can snatch us out of God the Father's hand, God the Son's hand and from the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit is the greatest motivation to serve Christ in this world.

May the Lord deepen our knowledge of His sovereign love for us and strengthen our dedication to Him.
