Melchizedek Interposed

As Abram returned from defeating the four kings and rescue of Lot, Bera the king of Sodom went out to meet him. Before this king could say a word to Abram, Melchizedek interposed with bread and wine. He testified of the Lord Jesus Christ who redeemed his people through his death and sacrifice on the cross. Melchizedek then blessed Abram. He declared the glory of God in delivering Abram's enemies into his hand. This was a complete refreshing for Abram. By Christ, Abram endured the enticing offer of Bera, king of Sodom. Abram glorified God who gave him the victory through Christ. Christ is always the victory and rejoicing of the saints of God.
