Planted — Light and Gladness

101

God Plants Light and Gladness

"Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name" (Psalms 97:11-12).

"It is GOOD to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; [it is good] to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night... for You Lord, have MADE ME GLAD [through Your works]: I WILL LIVE victoriously [by the works of Your hands]" (Psalm 92:1-4).

We have the choice to celebrate or manipulate. In spite of what a day may hold it is always good to celebrate, from the start, the unfailing mercy and goodness of the Lord.

And when the day closes, no matter what has transpired, it is good to rejoice in His faithfulness • to fulfill what He started in us that morning • and led us through • during the day He gave us.

Therefore, we can celebrate Him and His lead... or make every effort to manipulate the day, and those around us, to accommodate us, our feeble agendas and our temporary happiness. We can trust Jesus, and be messengers of His grace and goodness, or trample through today, being manipulated by the atmosphere we're in and manipulating others with our messages of misery.

"Where there is no revelation, there will be no vision for the people. And people without a clearly defined vision have no limits and boundaries. And without the restraints of a vision that can't be described or defended, the people will eventually perish: BUT he that keeps the law, happy is he" (Proverbs 29:18).
