Trusting the Good Shepherd to Feed His Sheep

Mark 6:30-44, Jesus deals with two groups of people in this account. The Hungry Crowd, whose faith was rewarded by rich blessing in spiritual and physical food, and the Disciples, whose faith was failing. Jesus Christ, the good Shepherd is the object of our faith. We must remember:

1. Faith fails when we forget what God has already done in the past,
2. Faith fails when we think it is dependent on our strength, abilities and resources
3. Faith triumphs when our focus is on God, not ourselves.
4. We can trust Christ:
   • He is the Knowledgeable Shepherd
   • He is the Compassionate Shepherd
   • He is the Ministering Shepherd
