Know The Enemy - Part II

Thesis: Physical harm and terror are real but limited in their scope. Spiritual terrorists can effect a person's eternal destiny. Jude warns us against the tactics and guiles of the enemy that would seek to keep us from an eternity with Christ.

Evil teachers have consistent characteristics:
* Twist theology
* Put human experience above God's Word
* Love worldly passions
* Doesn't struggle with self sin
* Reject authority, Christ's lordship
* Profane sacred things
* Make Bible a "magic" book
* Create own religion/justification
* Create own/extra book of rules
* Strive to earn God's favor/salvation
* Seek earthly rewards
* Church consumers, not encourages

CONCLUSION: Evil/False teachers are idealistic, insurgent, insolent and idolaters. The true believer is to be alert to their tactics and perservere in the true faith; following Christ and submitting to his rule, Word and salvation.
