Settling Our Hearts Before God

How do we know we have passed from death to life? How do we know we belong to the truth? How do we reassure our hearts before God? How do we have confidence that we will receive what we ask from Him? John tells us that it is the action of love - laying our lives down for one another - that tells us we have eternal life and the love of God is in us. Love that is more than mere words shows the genuineness of our faith and gives us confidence before God. The fruit of love is the confidence that we really live in Him and He in us.
