Looking To Jesus, the Founder and Perfecter of Our Faith

Main Idea: We must ultimately look to Jesus for saving faith!

• We must lay aside every weight and easily entangling sin (1)

• We must run with endurance the race that is set before us (2)

Looking to Jesus:
 The founder and perfecter of faith

 Who endured the cross for the joy set before him

 Who despised the shame

 Who is seated at the right hand of the throne of God

• We must consider Jesus (3)
 Who endured such hostility of sinners against Himself

 So that we might not grow weary or fainthearted

Applications

We must separate ourselves from both “weights” and “sins”!

We must never give up!

We must stay focused on Jesus—
the One who enables us to continue in faith!
