The Heavenly Prize

As we consider the spiritual battle, let us understand that it is with our adversary the Devil and his hosts of spiritual wickedness; it is over the disputed territory of spiritual things, and the prize is that we might really know, experience, and enjoy all the spiritual blessings purchased for us by our Lord Jesus Christ. It is God the Father's intention that we who believe really be made over into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ; that we might really receive the eternal inheritance. Where, then, do we find this battle taking place over these spiritual things? We find it in three arenas of our lives. We find the battle taking place 1st of all in the arena of our nature. We find it 2ndly - in the arena of our labors. And 3rdly – We find it in the arena of our hopes.
