Behold Your Shepherd

#12 in series. In these remaining chapters, Zechariah focuses more and more on the character and mission of the Messiah, the Savior God will send to save his people from their sins. Chapter 9 is an oracle concerning the providential preparation of the world for the coming of the great but gentle and humble King (9:9). These last verses in chapter 9 mark a transition from the Messianic King who proclaims peace to the nations to the Messianic Shepherd who cares for his flock.
