Reactions To Jesus' Predicted Death

In this passage, we have three separate accounts or responses to Jesus' upcoming betrayal and death. It should intrigue us that the one response of faith was not from among Jesus' apostles, but from a woman. Nor is this response a verbal one, but rather one of action. Those for whom Jesus has worked the miracle of life know what it is to silently trust Him — even when what He says is difficult and hard.
