Romans 6:15-19

Slaves to Righteousness
We must present our members as slaves to righteousness.
Question: Are we to sin because we are not under law, but under grace? (15)
Truth #1: We are always slaves of the one whom we obey (16a)
Either of sin, which leads to death (16b)
Or of obedience, which leads to righteousness (16c)
Truth #2: We have had a change of masters (17-18)
We were once slaves of sin (17a)
We became obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which we were delivered (17b)
We were set free from sin (18a)
We have become slaves of righteousness (17-18)
Answer: We must therefore practice our new slavery (19)
Just as we once presented our members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness (19b)
Leading to more lawlessness (19b)
So we must now present our members as slaves to righteousness (19c)
Leading to sanctification (19c)

Are we really slaves of righteousness?
