Two very common and wrong reasons behind the hype of Armageddon:

1. To satisfy our culture
2. To pat ourselves on the back

Four reasons why Armageddon is not that big of a deal (compared to the cross):

1. Consider who is absent - Satan
2. Consider what doesn't happen - a fight
3. Consider the odds - a million to zero that man will win
4. Consider what is determined - nothing

Why is Armageddon a big deal? Because it is the consumation of God's covenant with humanity
