How To Love God When You Don't

): If we are members of the elect, if our salvation is secure, if we will go to heaven no matter what we do, then why obey God? The answer is given first – because we love Him. But what if you do not love God as you should? What if those to whom you are ministering do not love God as they should? Must we use guilt and the false doctrines of works to motivate them to obedience? Does God the Holy Spirit supply us with a remedy to our own hearts and the hearts of those to whom we minister? The answer is a resounding “Yes!”. Jesus Himself promised that “If you love Me you will keep My commandments”. The days of manipulation, guilt and toil are over. We have but to love God, we have but to build a love for God into the hearts of our flock and then obedience will be a natural result.
