I. The Preaching of Jesus – v. 31-32

 1. The Preaching of Jesus was True.
 2.  Jesus preached matters of Life and Death.
3.  Jesus was systematic in His preaching.
4.  Jesus Spoke with Authority

II. Healing the Demonic v. 33-37

1.  It was an unclean spirit v. 33
 2.  The demon made the man cry out with a loud voice.
3.  What the demon said v. 34

    1) First – just a scream.
      2) What have we to do with thee?
    3) He calls him Jesus of Nazareth.
      4) Art Thou come to destroy us?

4.  Jesus Rebuked the Demon v. 35
    Be quiet -- Literally – be muzzled.
 5.  No harm to the man.
6.  The amazement of the crowd  v. 36-37

III. Healing Peter's Mother-in-Law v. 38-39

 1.	The miracle was a demonstration of his mighty power.
 2.	The miracle was performed on the Sabbath day.
 3.  She was healed immediately
        

IV. More Healings, Deliverance and Preaching v. 40-44

V. Observations on Demons and Healing

 1.	There is too much preoccupation today with both demons and healing.
 2.	Is there still demon possession today?
 3.	Why does there seem to be more demon possession in Jesus day?
 4.  What about healing?
