Send The Fire!

William Booth's rousing hymn, 'Send The Fire!' is still sung in meetings today.

Faced with an obvious lack of genuine power in many of our modern churches, never has this cry been more necessary:

'Thou Christ of burning, cleansing flame,
Send the fire! send the fire!
Thy blood-bought gift today we claim,
Send the fire! send the fire!
Look down and see this waiting host,
Give us the promised Holy Ghost,
We want another Pentecost,
Send the fire! send the fire!'

This message examines the Holy Spirit under the emblem of fire.

1. Fire INCINERATES ...
   It Consumes, Cleanses & Conforms.

2. Fire ILLUMINATES ...
   It gives Direction & Protection.

3. Fire INFLAMES ...
   It Encourages & Emboldens.
