Avoiding False Expectations

"And do you seek GREAT THINGS for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I will bring adversity on all flesh, says the Lord. But I will give you your life to you, as a prize in all places, wherever you go" (Jeremiah 45:5).

Misery will let you mine for it's endless bottom, as long as you would like. And pity will throw you a big ole sad party, and celebrate its victory over you, all the way down its chasm of defeat and despair. But you nor I will NEVER throw a pity party or explore the dark hole of misery, in search of a glimmer of hope and light, without inviting or dragging others down the bottomless pit with us.

Don't take up the offer the enemy throws on the table... he loves throwing his victims pity parties. He absolutely loves it... and the price is higher than you think. Remember, he's a liar and a deceiver,
therefore, you cannot trust him or the parties his host.

So... I encourage you to NEVER host any of his parties, don't accept any invitations to someone else's pity party and stop digging in the pits of misery and look up. There's no light in his hole of lies and darkness... and let the Lord, in His mercy, establish your expectations.
