I Am the Way

In John chapters 13-17, Jesus is with His disciples in the upper room teaching them how to deal with their troubles on earth. It is the longest and perhaps the most comforting sermon in the Bible. He is explaining what kind of men they must be and what kind of church He is building which is why this is the longest section in the Bible explaining the person and work of the Holy Spirit. In this passage, Jesus is more concerned with their troubled hearts than the fury of the weight of sin that will come upon Him in only a few hours. And he is concerned that they embrace Him as, "the way the truth and the life." Is He your way, your truth and your life? The few verses before us are only the beginning of the comforts He will bring.
