Intro to Mark

There are two testaments in every Bible. The Old Testament pointed to Jesus Christ as Savior. The New Testament tells how it happened. God reveals Himself as working and active in history. Gospel means good news, and there are 4 of them in the New Testament. In the gospel according to Mark, John Mark mentions the word immediately, and he tells what is true, but not as much detail as the other gospels. To find out what the scripture means, we need to study and compare scripture with scripture. When God does what God knows best, it is good news. We are not to fight Him, but trust in Him.
