The Pessimist

This first chapter focuses us on Naomi, an Israelite woman who had it all and lost it all while living apart from God. She is a true pessimist, seeing the glass as half empty. Her desire in returning to Judah appears to be more for a pity party then to actually get some much needed help, as we will see in the next chapter.
