Creator Of The Ages

The final point in Hebrews 1:2 is that the Father created the world through the Son. The term "world" encompasses both heaven and earth; the Greek word means "ages." The creation of all things, including space and time, is in view here. The fact that the Son was the agent of creation means that He is God. The angels were present at the creation, but they could only witness and rejoice--they could not create.
