Christianity Assaulted

178

During the first segment of the program today, I will speak with Emily Belz - reporter for WORLD Magazine about the US State Department's new International Religious Freedom Report. Emily wites, "The message was clear... The US government sees mounting threats to religious freedom in the Middle East"

During the second segment of the program today, I will speak with Dr. Stephen Myer about attacks on Christianity right here - in college classrooms across the country.

Right now, thousands of college freshmen are undergoing a depressingly common procedure in classrooms across America—a “faith-ectomy.” The alarming rate at which kids lose their faith in college—even at Christian universities—suggests that most Christian students are utterly unprepared for the atheist ambush.

Though high school seniors hear a lot about study skills and a balanced social life, the biggest challenge they'll face, says Dr. STEPHEN MEYER, will probably be to their Christian worldview. A leading figure in the Intelligent Design movement, Dr. Meyer is the co-author of TrueU, a series of powerful lectures on dvd that prepare young people for the inevitable attacks on their faith that await them in college. He tells Christian parents how to make sure their kids won't be sitting ducks in the lecture hall.

Dr. Stephen Meyer - co-author of the TrueU series, earned his doctorate from Cambridge University in the history of science. Author of the best-sellling Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design, Dr. Meyer directs the Center for Science and Culture at the Discovery Institute.
