Almost Persuaded
King Agrippa was confronted by the Apostle Paul with the truth.
He was shown the truth through
- The testimony of the Scriptures.
- The testimony of Paul
- The Life of the Lord Jesus Christ
Yet this man turned away from the truth, and was only ALMOST persuaded, but not altogether, to become a Christian.
Why did he turn away at the last ?
Two reasons could have been:
The Power of sin (his relationship with Bernice)
The Power of self (his position)
Rev Ralph Hall concludes this sermon by making the following observations:
The football team that ALMOST won the final......LOST IT !
The archer who ALMOST hit the bulls eye.....MISSED IT !
The student who ALMOST passed the test.....FAILED !
The person who ALMOST comes to Christ....is LOST
'Almost cannot avail
Almost is but to fail
Sad, sad that bitter wail....
Almost....but lost'
Acts 26: 28
' Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.'
It doesn`t have to be that way for you...come to Christ NOW....make no delay !
Settle the matter of your soul's salvation while He calls you !
'Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' (Matthew 11:28)
