The Heart/Mind. Jesus Knows? And what is this Silver Chord that will be loosed?

As we get back to it, our pastor gives us a short update as to his catheter ablation. He has been able to avoid the ER for 16 days now. Forty percent of those who have gone through this are back into AFib within 4 years.

Okay, this is going to be exceptional. We're getting into the relationship of the heart and the mind. Jesus says, He is the one who searches the heart and mind together. We go through many verses that give us more insight and wisdom into the heart and the mind. Cardiological sciences always thought that the mind and the brain direct the heart. They are finding out just how wrong this thinking is. The heart communicates with the brain in four ways and we learn that the hart and the mind are more like coequal in their communication. He goes over the four different ways, the pulse wave, the electromagnetic and the other systems of hierarchy are amazing. How did Jesus Christ know all this stuff? (That's pastor being sarcastic). So, when will we get deep into this stuff? He'll have heart diagrams and brain connections, the blood and how that all interacts. Next week... bring your friends. They will be impressed and... they'll probably not be your friends anymore.

This Sunday, we're doing Ecclesiastes 12. Open your TextBooks and follow along. You'll want a notepad. It says “Remember your creator before the silver chord is loosed,...” Guess what? We're going to find out what that is talking about. We also go over Ecclesiastes 3:21, in case you wonder if animals are extinguished and have no soul. Yes, we sometimes do controversial things here.
