In life, hard times are inevitable. And God intends for hard times to be inevitable. Satan demanded permission to sift Simon Peter like wheat. And the Lord granted it. Yet the Lord also sustained Peter and used him greatly after his "sifting." Satan intends evil. God uses it for good. He is glorified and we are the better for it.
