Jesus' Friends

It's not what you know, but rather who you know! That seems to be true when looking for employment. It's also true in one's connection with God. Christianity is NOT a religion, but rather a relationship with Jesus Christ. But what kind of relationship is it? It might surprise you to know that Jesus Christ desires a deep, abiding, loving friendship with you. He calls us His friends!!! As Jesus' friends, we are privy to the full revelation of God! He not only gives us the entire picture, but His Spirit that enables us to understand the Scriptures. As Jesus' friends, we experience close, personal, intimate fellowship with Him. His love for us is patterned after the Father's love for Jesus. But for us to enjoy the sense of intimacy with Jesus Christ, we must 'abide in Him'. We abide by keeping His commandments which include loving God and loving one another. And then, as Jesus' friends, we are chosen to serve Him. We are on His team, sharing life with Him and ministering to others! Are you one of Jesus' friends? Have you accepted His gracious invitation to trust Him for your salvation and forgiveness of sin?
