Meditate on Christ's wounds

For our communion thanksgiving service, we consider 1 Peter 2:24-25, and see how a meditation upon Christ's wounds in the Supper, is not only meant to remind us of our full and free pardon from all of our sins, but also meant to draw our attention to the fact that by His wounds we are dead to sin, and as the sacrament continues as a means of grace to us even after its administration, we are to recall the sense of the sacrament and see that we are dead to sin and are meant to live for righteousness.
