The Revelation of Jesus Christ

270 ( 130 | 140 )

As God's people it can be tempting, in the busyness and pressures of life to lose sight of two things:

  1. Jesus' promise to return as Judge and King could be fulfilled at any time that the Father has chosen. Are we living in anticipation of this glorious event, or hoping that he will wait until we have achieved what we want for ourselves in our lives?

  2. Jesus' return is not so much an arrival as if from a distant location, but an unveiling of the present reality of His saving authority for all to see. All that Jesus says will be true at his appearing, is true right now, seen by the eyes of faith, and is the basis for our unswerving hope and our unspeakable joy as we look forward to that day.

Come Lord Jesus - Judge, King and Lamb that was slain!
